I’ve used reseller hosting for about 20 years, and not sure that’s even what I need. I don’t resell hosting but I host about 15-20 sites on it, mostly all mine and a few clients.
I was with FutureHOsting who got bought out by Nexcess, who is a Liquidweb company. 95% of my sites generate minimal traffic, some email space though. I have one fairly big forum that I assume takes up most my space and resources.
I’m paying $75/month for 120gb harddrive probably not even SSD, been on here for six years. This is what they gave me for specs:
Architecture: x86_64
CPU op-mode(s): 32-bit, 64-bit
Thread(s) per core: 1
Core(s) per socket: 1
Socket(s): 4
NUMA node(s): 1
CPU family: 23
Model name: AMD EPYC Processor (with IBPB)
Stepping: 2
CPU MHz: 2994.372
BogoMIPS: 5988.74
Hypervisor vendor: KVM
Virtualization type: full
L1d cache: 32K
L1i cache: 64K
L2 cache: 512K
L3 cache: 8192K
NUMA node0 CPU(s): 0-3
Ideally I’d like more diskspace and even possibly paying less. I’m close to my max diskspace. I need something about 200gb atleast.
My forum is decent sized but no way ridiculously busy. It used 46gb in bandwith last month that’s probably the only other major thing.
I’m wondering if there are any cheaper options for what I need, I assume so. Probably would have saved me several thousand dollars had I done this 20 years ago
Because I do have a few people I host for a few of my own sites I need it managed and make sure there is immediate support.
I hate to leave my current provider but I need more space.
