Don’t you find cPanel annoying as it stores lots of data locally on the server for dozens of accounts temporarily before sending it to a remote backup server? At least JetBackup syncs only the number of accounts you set (5 by default) and uses much less disk space locally while doing it. Also, can’t use cPanel to transfer data to StorageBox using Rsync and there is no way to restore accounts from the remote backup server with cPanel when using Rsync/SFTP, only FTP.
With all the price increases of cPanel, I hope they improve their own backup system. They shouldn’t just think oh anyone can use JetBackup instead. It is in their interest to improve their own backup system. I tested the back system from Enhance.com and it works very well. No need to pay extra for 3rd party backup software.
cPanel is great, but they should improve their backup system asap.
