Serious Question about OVHCloud
Hello. I just wanted to ask a serious question about the cloud service called “OVHCloud”. I’ve used it only one time and I stopped using it the same day. It was almost 4 years ago and everything was fine until now. Few days ago I got an email from them saying I need to pay 12€ for something that I bought back in 2020 (it only said it was an invoice for Public Cloud) and I have 8 days to make the payment or else they will forward the case to a debt collection company. It was so long ago that I forgot what was the purpose of me creating this account but probably just to test the service I think maybe there was a Trial Version or something to test their Public Cloud? So back then I didn’t wanted to give my personal details so my original Name and Second Name + The Address itself are completely fake. I used the Spanish Version of OVH so I used a fake Spanish Name and Address and etc. I don’t remember linking or paying for anything as there is nothing in the account that I can find in Services or Payment Methods. There are just none of that. The only real thing I used there was my Email Address and my Original IP + I’m from a different European country, not from Spain I just used the Spanish version of their Web Service back then, so that raises my question – Will they be able to do anything about that? Like my details are fake and etc… will they be able to find out who am I really are despite my details are fake? or will the debt collecting company will be able to find me anyway no matter where I’m from? I don’t really wanna pay it, because it’s just ridiculously stupid that they do that after almost 4 years and it’s just the system that charged me automatically for something I wasn’t using or never used in the first place. I don’t even remember creating there any Virtual Machines or anything at all, when I go to payment details the only thing it says is: 10 Credit provisioning for the future bill – don’t even know what this thing is, but they want my money for it after 3/4 years… So can they still do anything about that like find who am I really are and in worst case scenario – Sue me?

I doubt any collection agency would buy such a small debt. Likewise I doubt they are going to invest any money trying to find out who you actually are for such a small amount. That being said I suggest you reiterate your desire to close this account or the fact that it was closed on date you specify.Protection against Ddos, DOS, Brute force, Proxy Attacks & robots. 30 day MONEY BACK GUARANTEE!

So you’re telling me to not worry about it right? They won’t really find me either way? I tried closing the account on their website but they said I can’t because I have an active debt.
