Javascript and I haven’t really ever got along (no surprise). I can do basic stuff, have some really cool AJAX stuff done, but in the end, there’s a lot I don’t grasp about it, and need some help
Right now, I’m putting together a function that will have a form . Problem is, I don’t know how to pre-fill that form with the data I need. Just a sample
Code:
function domtools_newhost ( whatcat ) { var form = $('<table><form><tr><td>Name:</td><td><input name="hostinput"/></td></tr><tr><td>Description: </td><td><textarea name="descinput" ></textarea></td></tr></form>');
$whatcat is passed to the javascript function, the form pops up beautifully, but I can’t for the life of me figure out how to get the whatcat variable in the form boxes themselves.
This is probably something incredibly stupid, and RTFM responses are fine, I just need to know where to look
