HostMantis getting rid of DirectAdmin plans
I found out today through a ticket (which they responded to, lo and behold, in a timely manner) that HostMantis is migrating all accounts to cPanel.we’re in the process of planning a full migration to cPanel for all customers following our acquisition of HostMantis so even if we moved the account to DirectAdmin it would only get moved back to cPanel in the coming weeks.
yes all DirectAdmin plans will be moved to cPanel eventually.
This to me means theyre getting rid of the DirectAdmin plans altogether
(likely because customers only sign-up for those over cPanel plans). They claim they will honor the existing DA plans prices .but I cant help but find that very unlikely and most importantly not feasible.
This sounds like the final nail in the coffin of HostMantis, so Im moving the couple of minor sites I have with them away as soon as possibile .and I suggest you do the same.My “ranking” is kidding.

I forgot to add that, when I mentioned I was planning to cancel the ticket-related service, the rep went and did that on his own….without giving me the time to download my most recent backup.
