Hosting and infrastructure services provider HOSTKEY has launched a new facility in Warsaw, Poland, marking its latest strategic expansion across Europe. The facility is located at the LIM Data Center 3, one of the most secure and interconnected colocation centers in Poland.
The new Warsaw data hall will initially launch with two racks and four upstreams, accommodating approximately 20 hours of deployment work. LIM Data Center 3, situated in the iconic LIM building on Aleje Jerozolimskie in central Warsaw, is a Tier 2+ facility known for its dual-path power infrastructure, precision cooling with 6+1 redundancy, and stringent fire protection measures. It hosts around 100 telecom carriers and is linked to over 20 metropolitan fiber networks, positioning it as a major carrier-neutral colocation hub in Poland.
The facility is equipped with 47U racks with up to two 32A power feeds per rack, and offers custom cages to meet client specifications. Tenants benefit from a robust fiber-optic infrastructure that includes more than 12,000 fiber pairs and seven physical entry points, ensuring route diversity and high network reliability. In addition to fiber connectivity, the facility also allows the installation of radio antennas and wireless links via its 180-meter rooftop communications tower, adding another layer of redundancy for mission-critical communications.
Environmental controls and safety measures include a fire-rated server room structure, elevated access flooring for efficient cooling, advanced leak detection systems, and a precision air conditioning system based on Mitsubishi Electric technology. With a cooling capacity of approximately 486 kW and built-in free-cooling capability for energy efficiency, the data center maintains optimal temperature and humidity for high-density IT environments.
Power reliability is ensured through dual utility feeds, a modular UPS system with N+1 redundancy, and dual diesel generators with a total backup capacity of 1.28 MW. Each rack is dual-corded and includes ATS functionality to instantly switch between power feeds in the event of a failure. Combined with extensive security controls, including biometric access, 24/7 surveillance, and on-site security staff, the LIM facility meets international standards for uptime, data protection, and operational resilience.
