This Really isn’t a DA price increase, it is stopping the sale of new *internal* licenses
The internal licenses for $5 were too cheap. Even before cPanel put their prices up.
A lot of the new features are in the ProPack now, so the internal licenses are really not that required. There was also no support with them.
I think DA did a nice thing here and haven’t screwed over existing clients as they get to keep it for as long as the existing license is active, but new orders need to move over to the slightly more expensive way. It would just be a case of updating your order forms, or if clients are lucky maybe someone may cancel an existing vps with license that they can re use?
DA probably decided that they can’t offer the ProPack as an extra for the internal licenses as it wouldn’t make sense with the costing, so it’s just easier to move forward with the retail licenses and get discounts with the more licenses you order.
HANG ON:
Support Extensions
New orders for support extensions will no longer be accepted as of August 1, 2023.
Aside from the announcement in this document, the support extension option in the client portal will also display an announcement.
Existing holders of support extensions may continue to renew their support extension after the deadline, or have their license (legacy license + support extension) converted to a modern license type, at our discretion and without price increase.
Cancelled/failed billing will result in a forfeiture of the ability to further renew the support extension.
Looks like they may also be ending the paid addon support for the owned licenses???
