Darktrace, a global leader in artificial intelligence-powered cybersecurity, has announced the development of a new 7,555-square-foot deployment center in Dallas, Texas, as part of a broader U.S. expansion strategy. The facility, expected to be fully operational by September 2025, will support the company’s growing commercial and government customer base across the United States.
The Dallas site will also serve as a key location for hardware deployment and compliance operations, particularly for customers with hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
The move would reflect Darktrace’s focus on enhancing its U.S. presence in what remains the largest cybersecurity market globally. In addition to the new deployment center, the company plans to open a new corporate office in Dallas and renovate other locations across the country. Recent upgrades have already been completed in Austin, Chicago, and the Washington, D.C., area. These efforts follow the company’s acquisition by private equity firm Thoma Bravo in 2024 and align with Darktrace’s long-term growth plans in North America.
Senior Executive Appointments
To support this expansion, Darktrace also announced two senior executive appointments based in the U.S. – Marty Overman has been named Executive Vice President, Sales, Americas, while Eve Saltman joins as Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary. These leadership additions are intended to strengthen the company’s go-to-market execution, legal oversight, and customer engagement efforts.
Marty Overman brings a wealth of experience in cybersecurity sales, having held senior roles at Entersekt, McAfee, Palo Alto Networks, and Imperva. At Darktrace, she will lead commercial strategies across the Americas, with a focus on expanding channel partnerships and supporting large enterprise clients.
“These strategic investments in people and infrastructure signal our commitment to the U.S. market,” said Jill Popelka, CEO of Darktrace.Eve Saltman joins from GoPro, where she served as SVP and Chief Legal Officer. Her background also includes leadership roles at Asana and Siebel Systems, now part of Oracle. She will oversee legal, compliance, privacy, and governance functions globally.
“These strategic investments in people and infrastructure signal our commitment to the U.S. market,” said Jill Popelka, CEO of Darktrace. “As cyberattacks grow more sophisticated, we see enormous potential for our AI-driven solutions to support both enterprise and government clients in the U.S. and throughout the Americas.”
The new Dallas deployment center will play a central role in enabling quicker implementation of Darktrace’s cybersecurity solutions, particularly its physical appliance offerings that remain in high demand across hybrid IT environments. The facility is designed to handle the assembly and shipment of up to 40,000 appliances annually, a move that is expected to reduce delivery times for U.S. customers by half.
Additionally, the center will support the operational needs of Darktrace Federal, the company’s affiliate serving U.S. federal agencies. Located in Arlington, Virginia, Darktrace Federal has seen growing demand for secure, AI-enabled cybersecurity solutions in compliance-heavy sectors. The Dallas facility will offer enhanced storage, deployment, and physical security capabilities while maintaining rigorous compliance with ISO 27001, NIST, and CMMC standards. It also supports Trade Agreements Act (TAA)-compliant hardware and complements the company’s recent achievement of FedRAMP High authorization.
U.S. Congressman Jake Ellzey of Texas’s 6th Congressional District, where the new facility is located, welcomed Darktrace’s investment. “Texas continues to demonstrate that a business-friendly environment attracts leading companies. Darktrace’s expansion in Farmers Branch is further proof that global technology leaders recognize the value of operating here,” he said. “In an age of growing cyber threats, companies like Darktrace are not only defending against attacks but using AI to predict and prevent them.”
800+ U.S. Employees
Darktrace’s U.S. footprint now includes 12 offices and more than 800 employees nationwide. The American market contributed 35% of the company’s total revenue in the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024, underscoring its strategic importance to the business. With demand rising across sectors – from critical infrastructure to cloud-native enterprises – Darktrace’s U.S. expansion is aimed at scaling operations to better serve its diverse customer base.
According to Eve Saltman, her new role is a timely opportunity. “I’m excited to join Darktrace at such a pivotal moment. The need for intelligent, adaptive cybersecurity has never been greater. I look forward to helping the company navigate the regulatory and compliance landscape as it continues to grow globally.”
Marty Overman echoed this sentiment, highlighting the opportunity to bring Darktrace’s technologies to a wider audience. “Darktrace offers one of the most comprehensive cybersecurity platforms in the industry, covering everything from network and cloud to email and operational technology. I’m eager to help expand our reach across the Americas and strengthen relationships with enterprise customers.”
