I bought one of their reseller packages back in Dec 2018 with the (webhostingtalk) deal it was $17! 2019 and 2020 it was $63 and last year $90. I’ve not heard of any price increases but of course there has been a change of ownership etc.

The reason for going from shared to reseller, which is still shared, was that it was the easier way to set up websites with different php versions. Currently 3 Drupal 9 sites using php 7.4 a family history site using TNG that also use 7.4 and a weather website using 5.6 but currently being upgraded to 7.4.

Reseller is also slightly more secure with multiple sites.

I seem to remember that you could use different php versions in different directories by adding code into the .htaccess file. The public_html held the default and higher version?

So what to change to. I have a couple of months to make a decision.

I did see Hostfactor mentioned, cheap and a big typo several times on their site, that was bit off putting, as well as not being able to see a full list of options.

My requirements are, to host 5 domains, 30GB storage. Litespeed, php7.4 and above and to be able to chose and add different versions to other directories if needed.

CPanel, SSH access, currently I get a terminal in cPanel which is easier than using Putty, don’t know if this is standard. Never needed it before, but Drupal now pretty much requires Composer to install and update some modules. I don’t use the one click installers.

Europe based but doesn’t have to be the UK. They are more personal than high traffic sites, but I still want something fast and reliable.

So far looked at Hostinger and HostXNow, budget is difficult to say. You get what you pay for but those two give the sort of range.
