An opinion about FTP

Hello, everybody.

I need your help.

I installed a CCTV system with three cameras. Well, that system allow to send the recorded images from hdd to a ftp server.

I want to do that backup but I don’t understand nothing about FTP.

Can I make this in the AWS, hosting the recordings there or is better to contract a web hosting (Hostgator, BlueHost…).

What should I do?
