That’s just standard now it seems from a good chunk of hosts.
Regarding vlans most decent companies should be able to provide 10g private network uplinks for servers in the same data center.
However, if you need a private vlan across the different locations this is a bit harder to find. I know we looked to do this many years ago and it just wasn’t quite worth the price.
GRE tunnel ends up being quite a good option to do this however it would use the internet backbone. Have you been able to try doing this option to see if it does in fact work for you? If not might be tricky to find as you would most likely need to then have a provider on both ends with just that private link which not as easy to get from most companies out here.
