Jeffrey Springborn has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Colovore, a leader in ultra-high-density liquid cooling colocation solutions. As the company scales a nationwide buildout strategy to satisfy the growing demand for AI and high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure, Springborn, an experienced operator in data center building and cloud services, will lead the business through its next stage of growth.
Following a $925 million financing deal with Blackstone to support the growth of its AI data center platform in strategic U.S. metro locations, Springborn joins Colovore. Colovore is growing into important U.S. metro areas due to the high need for mission-critical infrastructure that facilitates enterprise planning and multi-market deployments. In order to help partners secure capacity and plan infrastructure rollouts that correspond with long-term growth in AI and HPC, new high-density, liquid-cooled facilities are being carefully created to match customer roadmaps.
The CEO of Colovore, Jeffrey Springborn, stated that the needs for AI infrastructure are changing more quickly than conventional data centers can adjust. “Colovore is constructing today what tomorrow requires. Our clients are not only early adopters; rather, they are visionary leaders who anticipate the future and are getting ready for it now. They are aware that you cannot wait for capacity if you want to stay ahead in AI. Prior to the rush, you must secure the appropriate infrastructure. That’s precisely what we’re allowing them to accomplish with King Street’s support.”
Springborn is committed to interacting with strategic clients now, assisting them in anticipating their future requirements, and coordinating infrastructure planning with their AI roadmaps. The company has over thirty years of executive expertise scaling infrastructure platforms. Early movers have an advantage in a market that is tightening quickly.
“I’m happy to announce Jeff Springborn as Colovore’s new CEO,” stated Brian Higgins, Managing Partner of King Street Capital and Chairman of the Colovore Board. We determined that Jeff was the most qualified leader to help us expand in the market for AI infrastructure. As we grow our liquid-cooled data centers around the country, his thirty years of infrastructure experience and technology leadership will be invaluable. Jeff strengthens the solid base that Sean and Peter established, putting Colovore in a position to handle the growing demand for infrastructure that is ready for AI. The Board has faith that Jeff will be able to carry out our strategic plan during this next stage of expansion.
By enabling 17–300 kW per rack, Colovore’s architecture significantly surpasses the limitations of conventional air-cooled infrastructure. Colovore provides unparalleled power and performance at scale, specifically designed for the dense, distributed, and latency-sensitive inference applications of contemporary AI workloads. Colovore is carefully constructing in cities with robust AI ecosystems and close proximity to customers, as evidenced by its AI data centers in Silicon Valley and ongoing facilities in Reno, Chicago, Austin, and other locations.
“Smart companies are locking in infrastructure now to avoid being left behind later,” said Springborn. “We’re not just building data centers – we’re shaping the AI backbone of tomorrow.”
